Our Team

Mr Shaaban Athuman Ntarambe

Founding Chairman

Mr Shaaban is a senior citizen who had risen from high school good performance, graduate in Economics planning, development and implementation, post graduate in regional and rural planning, district and municipalities executive director, to the district commissioner leadership post (Area presidential appointed). He is a longtime development practitioner who had worked for rural communities and urban municipalities until he retired in government service about a decade ago.
Basically being a development planning expert chief executive officer (CEO) at different times of urban municipalities and rural district councils. He had a demonstrated history of working in fields of health care provision particularly through District health planning and implementation, Health and nutrition, execution and management, initialization and formalization of community Health fund and formal insurance scheme component of health sector reform.

Dr Amos

Dr Amos Nsheha

Managing Director

Dr Amos is a Medical Doctor with specialization in Paediatric and Child Health, Tropical Medicine, and a public health Specialist with over 17 years of working experience at managerial levels in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating Reproductive Health, HIV, community health, and TB-related programs at different levels of the health sector, and excellent knowledge on program activities including HIV clinical care. Practical experience in good governance, program management, proposal development, and fundraising. As a managing director at Afya Partners Initiative (API) is responsible for overall leadership and management of programmatic, operational, and administrative functions.

Dr Isaack Suga Kiduma

Assistant Managing Director

Isack is a Medical Doctor and Public Health Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and healthcare industry, particularly in Clinical Research, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Healthcare Information Technology and Business Development focusing on Health Systems and Policy. In his work Isack has specialized in strategic planning, programmatic management and coordination of TB and HIV services, including monitoring and evaluation, operational research, innovation, advocacy and resource mobilization towards improved and sustained treatment outcomes.
As an assistant managing director at Afya Partners Initiative (API) Isack is responsible for Overseeing project budgets and forecasts, Provide advice and counsel to the management, implementing plans and goals that align with organizational objectives, and Assisting the managing director on Organising API initiatives and making proper arrangements to meet department objectives.

Adv Zainab S Ntarambe

Director Of Finance, Administration and Legal Compliance

Adv. Zainab is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and a corporate and civil litigation attorney having a progress experience of more than 6 years in a legal field, her practices concentrate on commercial litigation, corporate governance, child labor law, employment law and family law. Having worked with highly regulated companies experienced in handling complex work across multiple jurisdictions in diverse industries and performing well in high pressure, competitive environment, enthusiastic achiever with experience in promoting high standard and quality work.

At API Zainab is responsible for Maintaining and improving internal controls, Ensure timely submission and payment of API’s programmes, Monitor and manage donor’s funds in the API’s daily activities of the program and tallying of the budget, Drafting of legal documents and revising partnership contracts, agreements and joint ventures and Handling any corporate affairs, educating and dissemination.

Ms Aneth Ngowi

Director/Head of Programs

Ms. Aneth is a natural leader who creates a positive and collaborative work environment. She’s known for making her team feel heard and valued, ensuring everyone has a voice and the opportunity to contribute.
At API Aneth is responsible for making sure that the projects and programs are viable, sustainable and realize our goals. Her major responsibilities are to lead mentor, and manage program staff, Track program impact and ensure continuous improvement, Build partnerships with donors, governments, and other stakeholders, Secure funding and explore new revenue opportunities, Mitigate program risks and ensure compliance, Promote program achievements and ensure effective communication.

Ms Zaitun Ntarambe

Director Of Operations

Ms. Zaitun Ntarambe is a skilled Operational Director known for her charismatic leadership and ability to manage teams effectively. She excels at customer relations, streamlining processes, and guiding her team toward clear, achievable goals. Zaitun ensures every team member is heard and has an equal opportunity to contribute. Her key strengths include strategic planning, project management, financial oversight, and problem-solving, all of which she uses to drive operational success while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
